Another Sunday...the weeks go by so fast, let alone the obnoxious speed of the glorious weekend. Me? Well I have wasted, I mean spent, the day choosing color patterns for my blog & my huge blanket-to-be! Going for the Log Cabin pattern, using colors such as dark green, dark blue, dark purple, black, brown, red...every time I get the middle square knitted, I change my mind on the size & have to start over! It will be yet another work in progress..."fritter & waste the hours in an off-hand way" (pink floyd).
Once I get a couple of 'round-about-squares knitted, i'll post a pic. Would love to hear from anyone just getting started on a knitting project! Mine take forever, not enough time to knit...what with a job & all...
Plus also...should anyone even come across this blog & read it...Let me hear from anyone with an Ovarian Cancer story! Perhaps you have just been diagnosed & are freaking out, or just plain need to vent about it with someone who has been there. I would love to help someone just as so many strong women helped me!
peace & happy thots~~~

No longer a virgin I suppose...
I'll start by admitting this is my first time blogging; not sure what to do really, but I'm game for giving it a try. From what I understand, bloggers need a 'topic' of sorts so folks can 'Google' a topic & your blog will pop up. My best guess regarding my topic will be Ovarian Cancer.
The choice was easy...Two years ago I was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer & I am not only a survivor, I am also a self-proclaimed expert on the subject. On top of my 'self-proclaimedness', I am a RN who loves to research pretty much anything for the simple purpose of learning something new.
I wish to share my story with any women who need some support out there! OC is a scary diagnosis but please know it is not the end! Oncology has come a long way! There are lots of treatments available these days.
If anyone has a question(s) related to OC & not sure where to turn, please feel free to ask me & I'll answer to the best of my ability & scope of practice. Please remember this does not take the place of seeing your physician, it is (at least I hope it is) a place for help for maybe some of those women who are just plain scared about something going on with their bodies.
Bye for now.
